Blogspediton
Blogspediton
Wind back ten years and doing mobile blogging was something a few people did, a largely experimental activity trying out different services. Twitter, lots of free wi-fi, 3G and 4G, Instagram etc & etc have created a world of on the move messaging.
In 2003 i wrote a short article called "Blogging on a Bus Ticket" - an account of a day trip to the city centre and blogging using wap, sms, audioblog, and internet access points.
It was a "Blogspedition". That's what i called it. The term never caught on. I revisited the project in 2005 noting how things had moved on. Posting video was always the most difficult.
So a decade later I'm going out again. Mobile phone charged, cash in pocket and eye for opportunity and experiments. Is anything new possible when everyone can post from wherever they find themselves?
Sent from my iPad - what a finish line

Radio evenings
Radio evenings
Thursday 12th July
Can always find a radio station I like. Only got FM on a iPod but choice is Jazz Radio from Corse on 88.7 MHz. One of the weakest signals from a choice of over 20. All of them French stations not an Italian one this side of the hills.

Charge Devices Get Ready For Ghent
Need a holiday and the small pretty city of Ghent has been chosen for such a break. Doing this one entirely on rails. Four trams, three trains, three short walks, four changes to get there.
The days of books and newspapers are gone. Still taking a glossy magazine, a copy of Wired as a concession to the olden days. So charge up those devices to while away the sitting down time. iPhone, MP3 player, two digital cameras and a Kindle.
Always make promises and plans to blog these trips. What happens is I give up, or forget after a day...but if I remember....
